“I found the course really useful as a practical but yet strategic insight into campaigning and its various elements. In particular, the way the course broke the concept of campaigning down into manageable chunks was really helpful.”

Emma Hutton, Scottish Social Enterprise Coalition 2005

Strategic Campaigning '06 Course

This 2 day course in September 06 followed and built upon the success of these courses run previously in January 05; and as 1 day bespoke training courses for the Scottish Green Party and WWF Scotland.

Back by popular demand, our '06 course on Strategic Campaigning for the more-than-profit sector has helped over 20 local and national organisations think about how they strategically create change and have the influence they intend, with the resources they have to hand.

The resulting Strategic Campaign Plan, includes use of variety of tools and techniques, and incorporates a Communications Strategy.

Participants on the 2006 course include: Christian Aid, Scottish Green Party, WWF Scotland, SOOT, The Fairtrade Foundation, Friends of the Earth Scotland, SAMH, One Plus, Scottish CND, Centre for Human Ecology, Keep Scotland Beautiful, Article 12 in Scotland, South Edinburgh Healthy Living Initiative, Sus It Out - Scottish Civic Forum, Highland Real Nappy Project, Moray Waste Busters, Campaign Team.

The courses were initiated, promoted, and organised through Creating Connections, and delivered by Michelle Sheather - a training consultant from Greenpeace International now based in Australia.
